L'Envers is French for "inside out", and similarly to Fashion Revolution's slogan "inside out", L'Envers founder Julie would like her customers to turn their beautiful jumpers inside out too, in order to appreciate the beauty of a well made piece of knitwear.
Launched last year, Julie and her team have literally managed to set up a close knit production for their beautiful, timeless knitwear brand. With a strong desire to offer the best quality possible, L'Envers works with a family-run yarn mill, which was established in Creuse, France back in 1880, and sources all its merino wool in France and yak from a Mongolian cooperative.
Both wools are then treated with non synthetic dyes according to REACH regulations. Once ready, they are sent to a family knitting workshop in Madrid, which is still overseen by its 85-year old founder, before it's sold via the brand's main office in Paris.
L'Envers designer Alice, a talented knitter who comes from a family of knitwear experts, is responsible for the limited batches of designs that the brand creates.
Uniqueness is on of L'Envers's cornerstones and some of its pieces even bear an individual limited edition number.
